A course management system like Blackboard is an e-learning tool that has many features such as allowing students to see classes they’re enrolled in, their current grades, and allowing faculty to post assignments. With Blackboard students can easily track their progress and professors can quickly see any students that may be falling behind and need extra assistance.
2. Discussion Forums
Forums are a great way for students to interact and help each other. Often students can see post from their classmates and answers to previously asked questions which creates an inclusive culture of everyone participating and sharing their thoughts. Professors also have the ability to interact in group chats as well as one-on-one discussions.

The invention of the webcam has opened up online communication to be more interactive and engaging. The webcam has allowed for more human interaction by online participants being able to see each other and develop a stronger community connection.
